During August and early September, 2007, Caterpillar issued a recall of most of their C7 engines with 2007 emissions. The issue is with the high pressure fuel pump and a small burr in the pump casting. If the burr were to break loose and go through the pump, this would cause the case to crack and fuel to mix with oil.
